Maâlem Abdelkébir Merchane

Maâlem Abdelkébir Merchane is a Moroccan Gnaoua master born in Marrakech in 1951. He was initiated at age nine and is known for traditional Gnaoua played on guembri, rooted in the Marsaoui and Marrakchi styles. He leads the group Oulad Sidi H’mou.
